How I Spent My Summer Vacation.

Last summer my boss sent myself, and several others to support the flight test of Gulfstream's G-V. So off we went from California to Savannah Georgia, for about 7.5 months. Here are some of the people that I worked with, and the fine aircraft that they helped create and certify to the FAA for a flight worthiness certificate.

(The company I work for makes the wings for the G-V, so its success is important to my management.)

The Northrop Expeditionary Force.
(Ralph, Scott, and Me,
also Chris (not in the picture)

Ralph and myself are Flight Test Instrumentation Engineers, Scott is a Instrumentation. Design Engineer. and Chris is a Flight Test Engineer. behind us is the #1 ship of the new G-V line (that's pronounced , GEE-FIVE) aircraft 501. Rumor had it that it was already sold to actor Bill Cosby.

A patch that I designed, and we had two hundred made, they went like hot cakes. (Tasted like them also.)
Ralph.
in his natural environment. If its on a computer, he'll figure it out.
Ralph worked third shift. I took this picture after he super-glued his thumb onto his chin.

Dom.
another Instrumentation Engineer.

A man for all seasons, but for no particular reasons.
He's from New York, even likes to eat his burgers in Central Park.
He worked with me on second shift, until he left, then he came back, and I left, then I came back, after which I left again, and then he left.
Jeez, I'm getting dizzy.

The G-V cockpit.
Very high tech stuff, just give me a couple of lights, some switches, and things that make a boing sound, and I'll be entertained for hours.

Note: Fuzzy dice are not standard equipment.

Doug.
He made rude comments about my hair,
until I wore my old postal uniform to work,
then he gave me a little respect.
He's a tech. that I worked with a lot, besides being the best damn Puck Partner that ever was.
David.
A fine technician who has since
moved up to engineering.
Despite the fact that he looks Canadian,
he's really British.
Throws a good puck as well.

This Way.
