The Thing With Two Brains.

Hey, that's me. As you may know the human brain is divided into two hemispheres. But what is less well known is that each hemisphere has a distinct and independent personality. As a rule, the left hemisphere controls the right side of the body, and the right hemisphere controls the left side. The two hemispheres communicate with each other through a bundle of synapses called the Corpus Callosum. This creates our composite personality that we feel and also display to others by our facial expressions. Using the picture at the left I have isolated my own two personalities by using a graphics program as simple as MS paint. By copying the left side of my face and then flipping it over as a mirror image. Then I paste it over the right side of my face, creating a composite image of my right brain's facial expression.

I do the same with the right side of my face to get a picture of my left brain's facial expression, thus displaying the two personalities of myself.

As shown below.

Alert, optimistic, bright eyed, at ease with the Universe. I think I need to take my left brain on a vacation.

typical inter-hemispherical communication Through the Corpus Callosum could go something like this...

my left brain to my right brain - "I'm hungry, lets get some lunch."
my right brain to my left brain - "We can't, we're on a diet, remember."

my left brain to my right brain - "Screw the damn diet, I want lunch"
my right brain to my left brain - "It's logic like that, that keeps us dragging a big fat ass behind us."

my left brain to my right brain - "Ya know, I'm getting pretty sick of your common sense bullshit."
my right brain to my left brain - "Learn to live with disappointment"

my left brain to my right brain - "If you weren't in here with me, I'd kick your ass from here to Hobokin."
my right brain to my left brain - "You, and how many other hemispheres?"

my left brain to my right brain - "Why don't you go have a seizure someplace."
my right brain to my left brain - "Seizure this" (the right brain uses the left arm to make a complicated hand gesture.)

at about this time a stranger passes by.

stranger's left brain to stranger's right brain - "Hey, I think that guy just flipped us the bird."
stranger's right brain to stranger's left brain - "I thought he flipped himself off."

stranger's left brain to stranger's right brain - "Well, lets go beat the shit out of him just to be sure."
stranger's right brain to stranger's left brain - "OK."

stranger's left brain to stranger's right brain - "And afterwards we'll have lunch."
stranger's right brain to stranger's left brain - "We can't have lunch we're on a diet."

back inside my head.

my left brain to my right brain - "Whoo! for a minute I thought that guy was going to punch us."
my right brain to my left brain - "Yeah, but why did he just flip himself off?"

my left brain to my right brain - "Who knows, he's probably a dork."
my right brain to my left brain - "No kidding."

my left brain to my right brain - "Lets get a burger."
my right brain to my left brain - "OK, but no French fries."

my left brain to my right brain - "A small order of fries."
my right brain to my left brain - "OK, a small order."

my left brain to my right brain - "Your paying."
my right brain to my left brain - "Sure, but you'll have to reach for the wallet."

this type of stuff goes on constantly without us being aware of it.

Anyway, try the picture trick on your own face and see what you get.

Another use for the first picture, and MS paint.

This is what I looked like when I had hair,
